Former PGA Tour star Tyrrell Hatton isn't planning to feel much pressure in the LIV Golf Team Championship finale. He said he would treat the final like just another Sunday.

On Saturday, September 21, Hatton led Legion XIII to the LIV Golf Team Championship finale in the absence of captain Jon Rahm. Legion XIII defeated HyFlyers GC 2-1 in the semifinals, advancing to the final in their debut season.

During the post-round interview, Hatton was asked if he and his teammates were nervous, considering this was their first-ever team championship.

"To be honest, no," he said. "You just have to treat it like another Sunday. Yeah, just go out there and try your best. It's going to be quite an exciting finish with all four scores counting. I think the course will probably play a little bit different to how it did today.
"Being set up for match play, I think there was a few more tees forward than what we'll probably face tomorrow. But it was nice for us to get out on the golf course today. Yesterday was a fairly boring day, especially when you've been here since Tuesday. You kind of want to get started. Yeah, we're looking forward to tomorrow," he added.

Earlier, Legion XIII entered the Maridoe Golf Club as the second seed after winning four team titles this season. Team captain Jon Rahm had to withdraw due to the flu and was replaced by John Catlin. Catlin put on a great performance but lost to Cameron Tringale on the 20th hole.

In the second singles, Tyrrell Hatton defeated Andy Ogletree 5&4 in dominating fashion, tying the score at 1-1. In the foursomes, Caleb Surratt and Kieran Vincent registered a 4&3 win over Phil Mickelson and Brendan Steele to advance to the finals.

How will the LIV Golf Team Championship be played? Format explored

While the quarterfinals and semifinals of the LIV Golf Team Championship were played in a match-play format, the final will be played in a regular stroke-play format.

All thirteen teams will be in action on Sunday, September 22, but only the top four will be contending for the top prize. Legion XIII, Iron Heads GC, Ripper GC, and 4Aces GC are competing for the Team Championship.

All 52 players will tee off in the final round, divided into thirteen groups. Teams finishing 4th to 8th are in Tier 2, and the rest are in Tier 3.
