Golf at 2024 Paris Olympics: Round 4 Sunday tee times and pairings explored

Day 3 of the 2024 Olympics golf men’s competition ended with defending champion Xander Schauffele of Team USA sharing the lead with Spain’s Jon Rahm. Schauffele, who won the PGA Championship and The Open Championship this year, posted a 32 on the back nine for a 68 to match Rahm, who carded a 5-under 66 on Saturday, August 3.

Great Britain’s Tommy Fleetwood, who started the third round in the lead, posted a 69 and sat one shot behind. Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama, who also held the lead on Friday, shared T4 with Denmark’s Nicolai Hojgaard. The Danish golfer rose into contention by carding a 62, which tied the 18-hole record at Le Golf National set by his twin brother, Rasmus, at the French Open.

Round 4 of the Olympics golf will begin at 3:00 am ET on Sunday, August 4, with local French hero Matthieu Pavon Colombia’s Camilo Villegas on the first tee. The pairing of Chilean Mito Pereira, Thailand’s Phachara Khongwatmai, and China’s Yechun Yuan will follow suit at 3:11 am.

Round 3 leaders Schauffele, and Rahm will enjoy a late tee-off at 6:39 am ET alongside Fleetwood. The trio will follow the grouping of Hojgaard, Matsuyama, and Irish superstar and T6 Rory McIlroy, teeing up at 6:28 am.

Notably, event favorite and World No.1 Scottie Scheffler also shared T6 alongside South Korea’s Tom Kim and Belgium’s Thomas Detry. They will tee off together at 6:17 am ET.
