Internet personality Frankie Borrelli shared the tension of playing the TGL simulator ahead of the inaugural season of the much-awaited golf league. TGL is the brainchild of golfing legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

The league aims to infuse technology with golf to create a unique playing and viewing experience. The league will be played within a customized indoor arena that was built in Palm Beach Gardens.

TGL features a massive simulator screen and Borrelli revealed how tense hitting on the screen is in a new hilarious post on X. He wrote:

"10 seconds before stepping up to the tee box they told me “if you miss the screen and shatter one of those LED boards it’s like a 6-figure miss hit and you’ll likely ruin opening night for us". So yea I went crazy when I hit the screen."

Hopefully, Woods and McIlroy have planned ahead of time in case of such an absurd scenario.

The TGL will bring about a technological revolution in how golf is played, viewed, and consumed. Among many other cool features the league boasts of, its 3,000-foot simulation screen takes the cake.

This huge simulation screen is reportedly 20 times bigger than an average golf simulator. Although all participating golfers will tee off from real grass tee boxes, they will hit the virtual holes on the simulation screen specially built for the league.

The simulation screen will be in play up until the players reach the 50-yard mark when they will start playing actual holes inside the TGL Greenzone. Along with the thrill of watching live-action golf being played on a simulation screen, the much-awaited league also has a turntable arena that will keep changing the holes and bunkers. This will force the golfers to try new shot angles and approaches.

All the competitors will be given mics and will be playing on a 40-second watch. TGL will officially kickstart next week in Florida and will enjoy a primetime broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ in the US.

Several iconic players like Billy Horschel, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, and Tommy Fleetwood alongside hosts Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will be teeing off on Tuesday next week at the SoFi arena in Palm Gardens. TGL will be played in a team format, with six teams named after cities, featuring in the debut season of the highly anticipated golf league.
