"Gonna need footage"; "That's my President" - Fans react to Donald Trump reportedly winning the Senior Club Championship at Trump International GC

Fans have reacted to Donald Trump's reportedly recent win at the Senior Club Championship. The President-elect shot a splendid 68 in the final round to win the tournament at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach Florida.

The tournament was held in a Modified Stableford Scoring System and Trump scored 40 points. He won by five points over David Shneider and James Tomasello.

The news was posted by Leomary Llorente on her Instagram Story which was later reposted by NUCLRGOLF on X. She also shared pictures from the golf club on her Instagram.

Fans jumped to comments to share their opinions with some casting doubts on Trump winning the Senior Club Championship.

"Gonna need footage," a fan wrote.

"I just physically can’t fathom this. It cannot be real. But that Bryson video did show him playing great golf," another fan commented.

While some praised him for achieving the feat at the age of 78.

"That’s my president!" one fan exclaimed.

Is there anything he can't do? another fan wrote.

"Don't like him politically but he can play good golf," a fan commented.

As per the USGA, Donald Trump has a handicap of 2.5. Further, he also owns several golf courses including the Trump International Golf Club at West Palm Beach.

Bryson DeChambeau praised Donald Trump's "iron play"

Ahead of the US Presidential elections, Bryson DeChambeau did a "Break 50" challenge with Donald Trump on his YouTube channel. He was criticized by several factions of the public for his choice.

Later, in an interview with Golf.com, he was asked if he was concerned about how his video would be received by some segments of the audience. DeChambeau said (via Golf.com):

"It’s sad some people feel that way. First of all, that video was great golf content, and secondly, it raised a quarter of a million dollars for a veteran’s charity [the Wounded Warrior Project]. That was the main focus of the video. Of course, Trump is a figure and a character, and we need some of those [colorful] moments."

Further, DeChambeau also praised Trump's iron play and how the President-elect constantly landed the ball on the green. He said:

"Man, his iron play was great. I can’t tell you the number of times he stuffed it on the green within 30 feet of regulation. His driver swing is the most repeatable thing I have ever seen. I wish mine was that repeatable. Really, I do."

DeChambeau's video with Trump went viral and has gained more than 13 million views on YouTube. Further, soon after the video, the LIV Golfer also reached one million subscribers on the video platform.
