Grace Charis has become one of the most well-known names in the golfing fraternity. Charis is the second most followed golfing influencer on Instagram with 3.7 million followers, with Paige Spiranac being slightly ahead with four million.
Charis is active on other social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) as well and shares posts on golf and about her life regularly. She shared a slow-motion video of her flop shot and captioned it:
"Flop shot golf."
Grace Charis wore an orange top and a white frock, along with a white Titleist cap. The video has received over 24 thousand views and nearly two thousand likes on X. A similar video on Instagram has got her over 130,000 views and 7,300 likes.
Grace Charis reveals her inspiration behind becoming an influencer
Grace Charis and Paige Spiranac post similar content on social media. However, their journeys are different, as Spiranac was already a pro golfer while Charis knew very little about golf.
Most might think that Spiranac might have inspired Charis to take this path, but that's not the case. In her interview with Golf Monthly, Charis talked about her inspiration on social media.
"I looked up to Brooke (Monk). She gets so many views, she posts every single day.
"She’s a hard worker, and she’s beautiful. Looking at what she does and how she handles social media has helped me get into it, and I’m in a different place now than I was when I started. I’m making my own trends and going down a path that I want to go down," Charis said.
Charis has evolved over the years and is taking golf more seriously. She has been working hard with her coach and is playing four to five times a week.
The golfing influencer has joined Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in Texas and reportedly has brought her handicap down to five. Charis said that she wants people to know her as a golfer rather than someone trying to make money and sell things.
"It’s a weird way into the game, but I’m trying to get better because a lot of people see me as just some online chick that’s trying to make money and sell things.
"I’m not seen as a golfer, but I’m edging my way into that by being good at golf and posting videos of great shots," Charis revealed.
Her hard work seems to be paying well, as Charis made her first hole-in-one on a 144 yards par 3 at CCNC in Pinehurst.
