Jordan Spieth's toilet shot kicked off the morning round of the 2023 PGA Championship on Saturday. The American golfer hit a stroke, and the ball landed in a toilet. Although he was granted TOI relief, he was still 251 yards away from the hole.
He then fired a second shot, which hit trees, but luckily the ball landed on the ground. He bogeyed the first hole before birdieing the second in the third round of the 2023 PGA Championship.
The PGA Tour posted about Jordan Spieth's toilet shot, and the comments section was swamped with praise and ridicule for the golfer.
Fans wrote:
"It will be the greatest Relief Story of the Year."
"Why does he seem to hit it in the oddest spots every damn tournament."
"Just a crappy spot to be."
"He can make par from there."
"A good multitask situation for sure."
Jordan Spieth carded two bogeys and a birdie at the start of the third round. He has been struggling with his wrist injuries, and that has heavily impacted his performance in the major tournament.
Jordan Spieth's odds at the 2023 PGA Championship
