Greg Norman's son Greg Norman Jr. called out the PGA Tour for a biased post on the Showdown. The Showdown was a one-day match between the PGA Tour players Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, who went against LIV golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka at the Shadow Creek golf course in North Las Vegas on December 17.
Before the event began on Tuesday, both the men’s circuits shared separate posts on social media. Later, Greg Norman Jr. compared both of them on X and captioned:
“Posted roughly around the same time.”
The LIV Golf post consisted of pictures of all four players at the Showdown from both the circuits with a headline: ‘Gameday’. Whereas, in the PGA Tour post there was only a collage of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy's photos with a write-up:
“The showdown set to raise charible donations for first tee.”
The Showdown concluded on December 17, and the PGA Tour side triumphed to bank a $10 million cryptocurrency prize purse. Following the victory, Scheffler said:
“We're super happy to get the win. It's a nice way to finish the year…Scottie and I got off to a pretty good start and then from there it was just about trying to keep the momentum. ( via CBS19news.com)

Greg Norman Jr. plans to play against Tiger Woods and the American's son Charlie at the PNC Championship
Greg Norman Jr. proposed four ball alongside his father Greg Norman at the PNC Championship against Tiger Woods and Charlie. Team Woods has confirmed their participation in the tournament and hence Norman Jr. proposed the idea to get invited to the event to mend bridges between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. He said:
“If they really wanted to shake things up and cause a buzz, they should have invited us to the PNC and paired us with Tiger and Charlie…Mend the fences. Show unity. Mic us up. Have some fun. Celebrate family and the game right? ( via Bunkered)”
The PNC Championship is a family event that will welcome 20 golfing stars and their family members. Team Woods played in four previous PNC Championship editions and debuted in 2020. Team Norman last appeared in the PNC Championship in 2020 and finished in the 9th position.
