Rocco Mediate praised Bernhard Langer's game after the German golfer won the 2024 Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Langer registered an amazing one-stroke win over Richard Green and Steven Alker at the PGA Tour Champions event, which concluded on Sunday, November 10. He was impressive with his game.
On an episode of SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio, Rocco Mediate opened up about Bernhard Langer and praised the golfer for his incredible game. The American golfer was almost at a loss for words to describe Langer's game. Speaking of the German player, Mediate said:
"I don't know how to explain it. He is just so good around everything. He is so good around the greens. He is just so good around, and doesn't make mistakes."
He further compared Langer to legendary golfer, Tiger Woods.
"He is like our Tiger, I'm just telling ya."
Rocco Mediate is widely remembered for his thrilling performance in a historic playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open against Tiger Woods. The duo ended up in a tie after four rounds, and to determine the winner, they played an 18-hole playoff.
However, after the playoff, they were still tied for the lead and played one more hole before Tiger Woods registered the win.
Although Mediate did not win the Major, he achieved his career-best finish in a Major at this tournament. His best finish at the Masters came in 2001 when he tied for 15th. At the PGA Championship, he recorded a solo sixth place in 2002, and at The Open Championship, he finished T18 in 1996.
Rocco Mediate started playing professionally in 1985 and has won 14 tournaments so far, including six on the PGA Tour.
