Shane Lowry won his first and only Major Championship at the 2019 Open Championship. Lowry would have another shot at it on Sunday, May 19, at the 2024 PGA Championship.

Shane Lowry won the 2019 Open Championship by a margin of six strokes over Tommy Fleetwood at Royal Portrush Golf Club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. After winning the tournament, he had said in 2019 (via BBC):

"I can't wait to wake up on Monday morning and find out what it's going to feel like then. It's just going to be incredible."

Shane Lowry has had seven top-10 finishes in the 43 Major championships he has appeared in. He has made the cut in 28 of the 43 Majors. In the Masters tournament, he reached the closest to victory in 2022 when he finished T3. At the US Open, the 37-year-old has had two top-10 finishes since his debut in 2011. He came closest to victory in 2016 where he finished as a runner-up.

In the Open Championship, Shane Lowry has had two top-10s with his best finish in 2019 when he emerged victorious. He also finished T9 in 2014 at the competition. In the PGA Championship, Lowry has had two top-10 finishes again. In 2019, he finished T8 and in 2021, he finished T4.

Shane Lowry's best performances
