Cameron Smith earned $11,565,417 from the 2024 LIV Golf season. His team, Ripper GC, won the LIV Golf Team Championship in Dallas. With that, the all-Australian team bagged a whopping $14 million paycheck, evenly distributed amongst its members. Smith won $3.5 million from the Dallas event, where he finished at T5.
Apart from the Team Championship, Cameron Smith had seven other top-ten finishes throughout the season. He finished at T8 in the LIV Golf Mayakoba and banked $457,500. The 31-year-old was then tied for runnner-up in the LIV Golf Hong Kong event, earning $1.875 million.
Another joint-runner-up finish came at LIV Golf Singapore that resulted in another $1.875 million earning. Smith was tied for ninth position at LIV Singapore and won $396,875.
The LIV golfer sealed the T6 in LIV Golf Andalucia and T2 in LIV Golf UK, earning $608,333 and $158,334, respectively. He had a T8 finish at the LIV Golf Greenbrier and banked $457500.
Other than these 8 events, Cameron Smith earned money from five more LIV tournaments. He didn't earn anything from LIV Golf Miami due to his withdrawal owing to food poisoning.
The 31-year-old finished at T15 in LIV Golf Las Vegas to earn $267,500 with 5-under. Smith finished at T41 at LIV Golf Jeddah and at T14 in LIV Golf Adelaide to bank $129,375 and $275,000, respectively.
The LIV player also played at LIV Golf Houston to finish at T48 and earned $90,000. In the event, his total score was 4 over 220. In September, Smith appeared at the LIV Golf Chicago to finish at T52. There he earned $50,000 with a total score of 10-over.
Cameron Smith details his celebration plan for the Team Championship triumph at Dallas
The Aussie team won the Team Championship title last Sunday with an 11-under score. After the triumph, Cameron Smith joined a press conference where he was asked to reflect upon his celebration plans. In response, the Aussie captain replied that he'd have a costume party on September 23.
“It's a -- Mad Monday is a term we use in Australia for all the footy teams that exit the finals early or win," Cameron Smith said. "The day after they're done they generally will go up and dress up. It's a costume party tomorrow. I don't know what these guys will come as. It's all a surprise. It'll be a good day,” Cameron Smith said.
The Ripper GC was three strokes above 4 Aces GC and Iron Heads GC, who tied for second place at 8-under. Legion XIII sealed fourth place, followed by Stringer GC in fifth. With the finish of the Team Championship, the 2024 LIV season has concluded. The next LIV event will be in February 2025 in Riyadh.
