Tim O'Neal won his maiden PGA Tour Champions event at the recently concluded Dominion Energy Charity Classic. The American golfer registered a two-stroke victory in the game and earned $350,000 in prize money. He shot a final round of 65 to gain the lead in the tournament.

It was Tim O'Neal's first win on the circuit, and with that, he secured his card for the 2025 season. The tournament had a purse of $2.3 million, with the winner receiving $350,000, while the second-place finisher earned $205,000. Ricardo Gonzalez finished solo second, followed by David Bransdon in third place.

Tim Petrovic secured fourth place on the leaderboard, while Thomas Bjorn tied for fifth place in a six-way tie with Rod Pampling, Kenny Perry, Paul Goydos, Stewart Cink, and Ken Duke. They each received $80,650.

A look into Tim O'Neal's performance at the PGA Tour Champions event

The 52-year-old golfer started his campaign at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic with a round of 71. He shot three birdies along with two bogeys in the opening round.

In the second round, he was fabulous on the front nine, shooting four consecutive birdies and adding three more on the back nine along with a bogey on the par-17. He finished the third round with a 7-under 65, recording eight birdies and a single bogey.
