The PGA Tour has two events this week. The American circuit will host both the 2023 Corales Puntacana Championship and the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. The two events will be held from March 23 to 26, with the Corales Puntacana Championship being played at the Corales Golf Club in the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic event will feature a 120-player field. The event, which features players from the lower end of the OWGR, has a prize purse of $3.8 million. According to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart, the Corales Puntacana Championship winner will earn $684,000, the standard 18 percent of the total purse.
While the winner takes a major part of the purse, the runner-up of the PGA Tour open event will win $414,200. The third-place finisher will win $262,200, while the fourth-placed golfer will return home with $186,200. The Championship will have a 36-hole cut, which will allow the top 65 players and ties to get prize money. The golfer finishing last on the leaderboard will bag $8,170 for his efforts.

Despite the prize money being marginally low compared to the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, the 120-player field looks pumped for the Corales Puntacana Championship. It is pertinent to note that the event is headlined by the likes of Akshay Bhatia, Zac Blair, and Ryan Armour, among others, who’ll be aiming for the top prize.
Apart from the prize money, the event’s winner will get 14 Official World Golf Ranking points along with 300 FedEx Cup points. The Dominican Republic event champion will also enjoy a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour and an exemption into next year's Tournament of Champions.
