His frustration peaked on the par-4 10th hole, where he made a double bogey. After hitting a shot from the side of a pond, his tee ball unexpectedly veered off course, causing Scheffler to shout out in disbelief.

“Is that not an upslope?” Scheffler asked his caddie before shouting, "How is that possible?"

Scottie Scheffler has had a phenomenal season in 2024, having already won six events and a gold medal at the Olympics. The American golfer was one of the top favorites heading into the 2024 BMW Championship, but he has struggled so far. In the first round, Scheffler made three birdies and two bogeys for a 1-under 71, followed by a second round of 72.

Notably, during the first round of the 2024 BMW Championship, Scheffler encountered some back issues. While playing on the 17th hole, he grabbed his back in pain. Later, in a press conference, Scheffler explained the condition (via ASAP Sports):

"Really I woke up just a little sore this morning. I had trouble kind of loosening it up. I mean, that was a hard -- with it being a little bit tight it was hard for me to get through it and I was laboring most of the day to get through the ball. On 17 I was trying to hit a high draw, and that's a shot where I've really got to use a big turn, big motion. Really just felt it a little bit. But other than that, all good."

Despite his back issues, Scottie Scheffler teed it up for the second round on Friday but unfortunately had a rough day. The 2024 BMW Championship is a four-day event and is set to conclude on Sunday, August 25.
