Scottie Scheffler had a season for the ages. With the PGA Tour slowing down after the Tour Championship, which Scheffler won, it's a good time to reflect on his season.

The FedEx Cup schedule was full of top events, and Scheffler either won or contended for the win in pretty much all of them.

He didn't win every single time, but the 28-year-old golfer won seven times during the months of January through August. The American's average placement in all these events was seventh.

The season began on a decent note, as Scheffler placed T5 in the Sentry, but a T17 at the American Express didn't indicate that a historic season was in the works. He then recorded three consecutive top 10s before really taking off.

The two-time Major champion won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship in back-to-back starts. He was interrupted by a T2 at the Houston Open (after missing what would've been a tying putt on the 18th) before winning the Masters and the RBC Heritage.

All told, Scheffler captured eight wins. He won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, the Masters, the Tour Championship, and five Signature Events.

How much money did Scottie Scheffler win?

All the top finishes resulted in a lot of money. Since Scottie Scheffler's victories were in Signature Events, a Major, and the Tour Championship, the prize purses he took the most from were large, especially in 2024 when all purses were increased.

During the regular season, Scheffler earned an astonishing $29.2 million. That doesn't include a $25 million payout for coming in first at the Tour Championship. It was one of the most lucrative golf seasons of all time.

His impressive year vaulted him to third all-time in money earned on the PGA Tour. Scheffler has accumulated $71.8 million. That ranks behind Rory McIlroy ($90.99 million) and Tiger Woods ($120.99 million) alone.

Scottie Scheffler's season by itself would rank 50th in the all-time rankings. That's right around Kevin Kisner's and Nick Watney's career income from the tour. Winning, and doing well even in losses, pays in the sport of golf.
