After an exciting 2024 PGA Tour schedule, the FedEx Fall series is gearing up to continue the golf action. First up in the calendar, this year is the 2024 ProCore Championship, formerly known as the Fortinet Championship.
The tournament will take place from 12-15 September 2024 at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California. With the FedEx Cup final capping off recently and the Presidents Cup coming up at the end of the month, several significant players will be missing the event. However, defending champion Sahith Theegala will be returning to the field. He will find some tough competition in Max Homa and Wyndham Clark.
Despite the upcoming Presidents Cup, 11 US and International team members will be teeing off in Napa this week. Captains of both sides, Jim Furyk of USA and Mike Weir of Canada will also be a part of the line-up. The latter has received a sponsor's exemption along with assistant captain Camilo Villegas. US vice captains Stewart Cink and Kevin Kisner will also be in action. This will mark Cink's 11th appearance at the tournament.
In total, the 2024 ProCore Championship will feature 144 golfers. The FedEx Cup fall series has eight events in total.
