Hurricane Helene has wreaked havoc across Georgia including the iconic Augusta National Golf Course. Helene, a category 4 storm, made landfall on Florida's Big Bend coast on Thursday night. The storm has led to strong winds of 30 mph to 40 mph with gusts reaching 65 mph.

Augusta National Golf Course has hosted one of the four Majors in the golf calendar annually in Masters since 1934. While the other three Majors are held at different locations every year, Augusta National has always held the Masters.

Several pictures have been shared on the scale of destruction at the venue of the Masters tournament. The official account of Eureka Earth shared a picture on X, where several trees appear uprooted and scattered across the course. Large tree trunks and limbs can be seen lying haphazardly on the ground.

Not only this, Rae's Creek, a significant waterway in Augusta National, has overflowed. The creek, one of the most famous waterways in golf, must be crossed twice by the players during the final rounds of the Masters tournament.

The creek is widest at hole No. 12. Since 35 years, no one has aced the 12th hole on the course. A video by a Twitter user shows the extent of havoc by the Rae's Creek.

Hurricane Helene, the Category 4 storm, has killed at least 44 people in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, as per AP News.

Several Twitter users have also claimed that more than 100 trees are down at Augusta National because of Hurricane Helene and they are blocking the driveway. However, the reports have not been confirmed yet.

How will the weather be at Augusta National Golf Course in the next two days during Hurricane Helene?

Hurricane Helene, the category 4 storm, has caused enormous destruction to the Augusta National Golf Course. The storm has seen winds up to 140 mph. Accuweather says that floods remain a possibility till late Tuesday.

The next two days will be sunny and humid with temperatures around 80-85°F. There will be cloudy nights with a probability of precipitation ranging from 15 to 25 percent.
