“I hope people don’t forget about Grayson Murray” – Dylan Wu remembers his former rival after a failed PGA Tour card attempt

Dylan Wu recently reflected on the late Grayson Murray after the conclusion of the FedEx Cup Fall season. He acknowledged that Murray's unfortunate passing earlier this year indirectly impacted the FedEx Cup standings, allowing a few players to move up.

On Friday, November 22, Wu carded a 6-over 76 in the second round of the RSM Classic, missing the cut. With this result, he finished the season at 132nd in the FedEx Cup Fall standings, failing to secure his PGA Tour card.

On Sunday, November 24, Dylan Wu posted a tribute on X, remembering Murray, who tragically passed away earlier this year.

"Top 125 finalized today at the RSM," he wrote. "Even though I finished 132nd, I’m grateful for the experiences. A quick side note, I hope people don’t forget about Grayson Murray. Margins on Tour are small but Top 50, 125, and 150 were unfortunately moved because we lost a fellow player. 🙏

"It's been a tough 2024, Wu wrote in a follow-up post. "My brother, Jeremy, who’s caddied for me since 2021 was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma in Sept. He’s doing well and getting healthy day by day. Life sometimes punches you in the gut. I’m hoping I can have him by my side sometime in 2025! 🙏"

For the uninitiated, Grayson Murray tragically lost his life during the Charles Schwab Challenge in May after a long battle with depression. He had made an incredible comeback earlier this year and won the Sony Open in Hawaii, his first PGA Tour win in seven years.
