Harris English battled it out at the Torrey Pines Golf Club to win the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open. After four rounds at the golf club, in San Diego, California, English pipped Samuel Stevens and Andrew Novak as they finished in second and third place respectively.
This victory marked English's fifth win on the PGA Tour, and he was elated about it. The 35-year-old professional golfer appeared for an interview on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio and expressed his happiness over winning the Farmers Insurance Open in difficult conditions.
When asked about how tough a grind it was for him to win, Harris English answered:
"It's always a grind. I haven't slept on a lead in a long time. Felt like I did a pretty good job last night, this morning of keeping loose and I was actually glad I was playing really hard today. I love conditions like this where you kind of have to keep plugging along. A US Open type set-up out here with the golf course. It's always hard. No matter if it's blowing or 75 and sunny. It's always a tough golf course, and kind of picked and chose my spots of where to be aggresive... I only made one birdie today and won a golf tournament. That just shows you how hard it was playing out there." [0:00 onwards]
