When Bubba Watson spoke about playing 'Bubba Golf'

Bubba Watson has a very unique playing style which came to be coined as 'Bubba Golf' by his fans. In conversation with Claude Harmon on the Off Course podcast in 2021, he revealed that 'Bubba Golf' is "all about having fun" and "goofing around". Today's Golfer released an exclusive interview with Watson in April 2024 where he talked about his unconventional practice and playing style. He said that his main priority while playing the game is to have fun which was why he decided to make the move to LIV Golf. He said (via TodaysGolfer.com):

"It’s having fun. It’s the reason why I went to LIV because it’s fun and energetic. You’re still grinding, still trying to have your best day ever, but you’re trying to create the game in a different way. Kind of like Bryson [DeChambeau] doing something different. Tiger decided to win all the time. Everybody has a different route. Bubba Golf is more about the everyday man," Bubba Watson said.
