Caitlin Clark opened up about her wayward shot at the 2024 Annika tournament. The American basketball player, who is also an avid golfer, played in the Pro-Am tournament of the LPGA Tour event back in November 2024. She is known for her golf outings; however, at the 2024 Annika, she became the talk of the town after her errant shot.

While taking a tee shot, Clark mishit the ball, which went straight into the crowd in the gallery. Recently, she appeared on the Kelce brothers' popular podcast, New Heights, and opened up about her unfortunate hit at the Annika.

Kelce asked Clark about her hitting a person at Annika's Pro-Am. Replying to the host, the WNBA star player shared the details of her mishit, saying:

"Like, we're playing like, these long par threes that are, like 200 yards. I'm like, I'm not good enough to hit a par three, like 200 yards, like, so I whip out my hybrid. I'm, like, teeing up my hybrid club. Just top it, like, straight up down the third base line. But I nailed somebody on a different par three, like some woman, like, right in the shoulder, like, shoulder I saw, I saw a tick tock, like, the next day, just like black, well, on her arm, just got a black."

Although it was a bad day for Caitlin Clark at the Annika, fortunately, no one was hurt because of the bad shot. She played in the game with Nelly Korda on the front nine and Annika Sorenstam on the back nine.

Caitlin Clark reflects on her golfing skills

In the same interview with Travis and Jason Kelce, the hosts even asked Caitlin Clark in which sport she is more competitive—basketball or golf. Replying to the question, Clark acknowledged that she loved golf but said that she sometimes gets "mad" as she struggles in the game. Clark said:

"That's hard. I think like golf makes me more mad because I'm not as good at it. Like I'm just, like, the average hack and like, you want to be good, like you're competitive, just like basketball or football, like it's like, why am I not good at this so and it's like, meant, it's like, it's an individual sport, and we're used to team sports, so I think that's what pisses me off, too. It's like, it's all on me, and I know it's all my fault."

Notably, Caitlin Clark also competed at the 2024 RSM Classic Pro-Am event, a PGA Tour tournament. She played with Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and former USA Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson.

Clark struggled with her opening shot, though she quickly bounced back and shone at the event.
