Anthony Kim has opened up about his new 'sober' life after joining LIV Golf. Kim returned to golf after a long 12-year hiatus in March with LIV Golf. In a recent interview with Jerry Foltz and Su-Ann Heng, Kim talked about joining LIV Golf, his family, and many more.
After joining LIV Golf in an interview with David Feherty, Anthony Kim talked about his addictive personality and admitted that he needed help for a long time. In a recent interview, Su-Ann Heng asked her how he felt these days when he woke up. Kim said (via LIV Golf):
"Things are easier. I'm still fighting through things. There's hard days, there's easy days." (50:33- 50:41)
Kim said that on the hard days, he thinks about his lowest moments which gives him strength. He said that on the days when he's struggling, he doesn't lie to himself but admits it and chooses to do 'something productive'.
Kim further talked about how he watches his daughter Bella's videos to cope with the hard days. He said:
"When I have bad days now, I watch videos of my daughter. My wife has these little I don't know stories or reels or whatever it is and there's like 15 or 20 of them and I've memorized them. Cause I watch them all the time. I've been having a lot of rough golf days. So I'll watch them as I'm going to sleep because it gives me purpose." (51:11-51:38)
Kim has been rusty this year and hasn't been able to regain his past form. He also mentioned that his daughter doesn't care about his scores. Kim said he doesn't want her to feel that he's not in a good mood and wants her to see his best side.
