Ian Poulter is currently on a break since there is no action on the LIV Golf circuit. However, during this break, his team, Majesticks GC, spent some time on the golf course with McLaren CEO Zak Brown and driver Lando Norris.
Ian Poulter is a 12-time winner on the European Tour and now plays on the LIV Golf circuit. He is co-captain of the Majesticks GC team, along with Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson. Sam Horsfield is the only non-captain player on the team.
On Thursday, August 8, Majesticks GC shared a reel on Instagram featuring F1 racer Lando Norris. In the video, Norris can be seen playing golf alongside Zak Brown and Poulter during their week off.
Norris and other drivers are currently on a break before they will next compete at the Dutch Grand Prix. Ian Poulter, too, is out of action at the moment and had to withdraw from the International Series England due to an injury.
"Unfortunately, I've been forced to withdraw from this week's International Series event at Fox Hills Country Club," he announced on Instagram. "An ankle injury I had earlier in the season has reappeared and after consultation with my team, I've been advised on resting it in order to reduce the inflammation.
"There is nothing better than playing in front of home fans and I'm gutted to miss out on another opportunity after a fantastic week at LIV Golf UK."
However, he added that he was planning to be at Fox Hills on Saturday, August 10, to support the event and meet some fans.
Although Poulter is not competing at the International Series England, 16 other LIV-associated professionals are in action. For the uninitiated, the International Series events are a few of the opportunities for them to gain some OWGR.
What next for Ian Poulter?
While many LIV golfers are playing the International Series this week, Ian Poulter will next compete at the LIV Golf Greenbrier, which will take place from August 16 to 18.
Poulter is currently 45th in the season standings and has made just one top-10 finish in 11 starts this season. He is currently in the open zone but will be unaffected by this since he is a captain. His team, Majesticks GC, is 11th in the standings with just two top-five finishes.
