The 2024 Solheim Cup returns this week and will be held from September 13 to September 15. The tournament, which happens once in two years was last played in 2023 but was moved to an even-numbered year to avoid a clash with the Ryder Cup.
Ahead of the tournament which will witness Team USA take on Team Europe, Madelene Sagstrom, who will represent Team Europe, tied the knot on Sunday, September 8th. Sagstrom got married to Jack Clarke, whom she met at the Louisiana State University.
The couple shared a common love for the sport of golf and began dating in 2017. They announced their engagement five years later on November 18, 2022.

Jack Clarke was forced to retire from professional golf at 27, but he found success caddying. In his career as a caddie, Clarke worked with Caroline Hedwell when Team Europe won the 2019 Solheim Cup, and with his wife Madelene Sagstrom when Team Europe won the 2021 Solheim Cup.
Sagstrom on the other hand has been playing on the LPGA Tour. Since turning pro in 2015, the Swedish golfer managed to win four events. One of her four professional wins comes on the LPGA Tour. This year, she is all set to represent Team Europe at the 2024 Solheim Cup.

The 2024 Solheim Cup will be played between September 13 and September 15. This year, Team USA will host Team Europe at the Royal Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia. Both teams are set to be represented by some of the best golfers in the women's division.

For those unaware, at the 2024 Solheim Cup, Team USA and Team Europe will be captained by Stacy Lewis and Suzzan Patterson. These women also captained their respective teams in last year's edition of the tournament which was won by Europe.
Team Europe has won the last three editions which makes them a favorite to win a fourth consecutive time. However, it will be interesting to see if Team USA can stop them on home soil.
