PGA Tour partners with Paige Spiranac and other popular golf influencers to form the Creator Council
A couple of days ago, the PGA Tour announced the formation of the Creator Council, comprising nine members, including Paige Spiranac. These members will regularly interact with the media, communications, and marketing teams of the PGA Tour to develop strategies for content creation and fan involvement.
Reacting to her appointment, Paige Spiranac wrote on X that when her social media journey began with a viral video in 2015, there was no concept of golf content creation.
"Over these past 9 years it’s been amazing to share my love for this incredible game with so many people," she wrote. "I'm proud of the path I paved for myself in golf and how far this industry has grown with so many talented creators who share a common goal.
"To be on the Creator Council is an honor and I’m very excited to continue to do my part to grow the game!" she added.
Besides Paige Spiranac, the Creator Council comprises names like Bryan Bros Golf, Erik Anders Lang, Roger Steele, Bob Does Sports, Tisha Alyn, Fore Play/Barstool Sports, and No Laying Up.
Spiranac has gained over 4 million followers on Instagram and more than 1 million followers on X. She also runs a YouTube channel, which has over 435K subscribers, and regularly creates content for her audience.
Spiranac was a brilliant golfer during her university and amateur career. However, her professional career was short-lived, and she retired in 2016. In a recent interview, she opened up about her mental struggles during her professional career.
"I played junior golf, college golf, and a year professionally," she said. "After that stretch, I mentally couldn't handle playing golf and especially keeping score. I equated my score to my self-worth. I know it sounds silly, but competitive golf really beat me up emotionally.
Spiranac has won one event in her professional career and never competed on the LPGA Tour.
