Charley Hull has had an exhausting past few weeks, having participated in the Solheim Cup and the Kroger Queen City Championship. Possibly that's why she is giving the upcoming 2024 NW Arkansas Open a miss.

The tournament is all set to take place on 27-29 September 2024 at the Pinnacle Country Club, Arkansas. The event will feature a field of 144 golfers, with the prize purse being a whopping $3,000,000. Although several top names like Charley Hull, Nelly Korda, Rose Zhang, and Lydia Ko will miss out on the tournament, the line-up is still nothing short of exciting.

Lexi Thompson, Yuka Saso, and Lilia Vu will be headlining the 2024 NW Arkansas Open. Maja Stark, Georgia Hall, and Meghan Khang will also be seen on the field. Unlike the usual LPGA Tour events, which feature a 72-hole format over four days, this tournament will be a 54-hole match played over three days.

Why is Charley Hull "absolutely shattered"?

English golfer Charley Hull was one of the strongest players from the European side at the 2024 Solheim Cup. She proved her mettle when she beat the World no.1, Nelly Korda in their singles fixture, 6-4.

This was Hull's largest-ever win margin at the Solheim Cup, while it was Korda's worst-ever margin at the biennial tournament. The two faced off in the opening singles match, which was arguably the most anticipated one. At the Robert Jones Trent GC, the Stars and Stripes had dominated the event from the very first round and went on to win, with scores being 15.5-12.5. The US team lifted the Solheim Cup for the first since their last victory in 2017.

Hull did not get time to catch her breath as right after the 2024 Solheim Cup concluded in Virginia, the English golfer headed to New York City for sponsor and media appearances. From there she went to Cincinnati for the Kroger Queen City Championship where she secured a T19 finish. The Solheim Cup had been exhausting for Hull given the four-thirty am wake-up calls, shuttle rides, press interviews, etc. The 28-year-old revealed her current physical condition in Cincinnati via Golf.com.

"And then the adrenaline from the weekend. Obviously, I played all five matches, I had loads of adrenaline and now I feel like I am in a bit of a comedown because I’m just so tired. Absolutely shattered,"
