Tiger Woods won't be playing at The Match Superstars in 2024. His first appearance at The Match was in 2018 at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Phil Mickelson won 2018's The Match. He acknowledged Woods' greatness in golf after winning (via The Guardian):
“A day like today is not going to take anything away from Tiger Woods’s greatness, he’s the greatest of all time, but to have some smack talk for the next few years means a lot to me because I don’t have much on him.”
Next, Woods participated in 2020's The Match: Champions for Charity and won with Peyton Manning against Mickelson and Tom Brady with 1 up. His last appearance at The Match was in 2022 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, where Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas won by defeating Rory McIlroy and Woods by 3 and 2.
This year, eight celebrities will feature at The Match:
- Ken Griffey Jr.
- Michael Phelps
- Charles Barkley
- Mark Wahlberg
- Bill Murray
- Nate Bargatze
- Wayne Gretzky
- Blake Griffin
The Match will take place in West Palm Beach, Florida, on November 21 and 22. The head-to-head competition will be aired on TNT and Max. Nuclr Golf tweeted about the latest edition:
