Max Homa recently spoke about his father's duty while wishing to be "tone deaf." The American golfer is quite active on X (formerly Twitter) and often makes waves on the internet with his hilarious and witty tweets. He is having an off-season these days and enjoying time with his family.
Homa recently shared his daily duty of singing for his son, Cam, before going to bed. The PGA Tour player, however, joked that he’s a far cry from a singer and said he sounds "awful" and wishes to be "tone deaf."
Speaking of his fatherly duty, Homa wrote:
"My son has been asking me to sing to him every night before bed lately. I really wish I was tone deaf cuz I can hear every note that comes out of my mouth. It is awful."
A fan in the comments section, however, replied to his tweet saying:
"It sounds like you actually are tone deaf. You are wishing for being actually deaf."
Homa replied to the fan saying he "sucks at singing." He wrote:
"Fair ya idk how to word it. I can hear the tone it’s just not the right one. Either way I suck at singing."
Homa is very active on X and has around 685.1K followers on the platform.
When Max Homa shut fans trolling his wife and son with a witty reply
Homa is arguably one of the most successful golfers on the PGA Tour. Having turned pro in 2013, he has won nine professional tournaments in his career, including six wins on the PGA Tour. However, he has not won a Major so far.
He recorded some impressive finishes in the Majors, including T3 at the Masters in 2024, but is still seeking to clinch the trophy in the Majors.
Earlier this year, in March, fans trolled Homa's wife Lacey, and his son Cam for the golfer's struggles in the Majors. Max Homa took to his X account to shut them down with a classy reply. He wrote:
"Some clown commented on my wife’s tik tok that she and my son are holding me back from winning majors. I guess he hasn’t seen my record before having a kid. It’s even worse! Moral of the story, it’s all my wife’s fault she’s been here for all of them."
Max Homa and Lacey Cowan tied the knot in November 2019, and a year later, in November 2020, they welcomed their first child. Homa's game in the Majors has improved in recent years.
In 2020 and 2021, he missed the cut in his six Major appearances, with only a good finish recorded at The Open in 2021, when he finished T40. Following that, in 2022, he was quite impressive in the Majors and finished tied for 13th at the PGA Championship.
He finished T10 in the 2023 Open and T3 at the Masters in 2024. In the last three years, including 2022, 2023, and 2024, Max Homa has only missed the cut twice in the Majors, at the US Open in 2023 and 2024.
