Athletic success runs in the Korda family. Nelly Korda and Jessica Korda are LPGA stars and their brother, Sebastion, is an upcoming tennis sensation. Their father Petr Korda was the 1998 Australian Open champion while their mother Regina was an Olympic tennis player.

The Korda siblings have always cheered each other from the stands. Nelly Korda was present at Sebastian's Australian Open match against Daniil Medvedev in January 2023. In fact, she had reportedly woken up half an hour before her alarm was supposed to ring on match day.

After Sebastian beat the then-World No. 7 in three sets, the former went on to say that he was the worst athlete in their family. However, the statement was not received well by his sister Nelly, who defended him saying:

"It's complete BS. He's the best. Honestly, he's the best. His hand-eye coordination is unbelievable. His swing – I'm jealous of his swing actually. It's crazy. He's a lefty. He's a natural righty, but he plays golf lefty."

She further added:

"He played hockey lefty. I mean, he grew up playing hockey. He was pretty good at it, too. Like he skates really nicely, plays golf nicely, plays tennis beautifully." [via Golf Week]

Korda finished her response in an amusing manner:

"He's full of s**t. Excuse my French," she concluded.

She even noted how Sebastian is equally talented at the sport she plays, and went on to complement his golf swing.

Nelly Korda is the current World No. 1 and with her bountiful stint last year, is one of the most successful golfers in the circuit. So her word can fully be trusted when she appreciates someone's golf swing.

In January 2023, Korda commended her brother Sebastian's golf swing saying:

"It's funny, he swings it lefty which is really nice. He doesn't change his hands and he swings it righty and still pures it. Yeah, it's just, he's special. He's one of a kind."

Sebastian regularly plays golf at his local golf club which is not far from their family home, according to reports. He talked about his skills with the golf clubs in May last year and said:

"I do have a pretty good golf swing, yeah. I have been playing golf basically my whole life, because I would just be around my sisters. I have never taken a lesson, but I have a pretty good golf swing." [via Sky Sports]

While Sebastian can "play some good golf", he also talked about the tennis players who could play golf.

"I know there is a couple of guys on tour, I know that Casper Ruud, he's around a 2 (handicap), and I think Jack Sock said he's around a 2, as well. We'd have a pretty good match if we played," he added.

The 24-year-old tennis player has won two ATP singles titles and one doubles title till date and achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 15 last year.
