Fans on social media have reacted to a hilarious interview of Brooks Koepka, where he discussed the plummeting ratings of the LIV Golf. The Saudi circuit tournaments have seen a significant decline in viewership despite some of the top talent competing on the circuit.

Brooks Koepka appeared on a recent episode of Barstool Sports with Caleb Pressley, where he was asked about the continual decrease in views of the Saudi Circuit.

“Do you think there’s a problem with golf that it’s so boring and that’s why no one watches or is it just LIV that no one watches?" asked the host.

In response, Koepka commented:

In the comments section, fans speculated that Koepka might have been joking about the situation.

"It’s a joke man….brooks was a great sport about it," wrote a fan.

Another fan took the opposite stance, saying that Koepka never lies and always speaks what is in his mind

"Brooks ain’t never lied either. Bro just says what’s in his head so it can’t be a fake answer," commented another fan.

Yet another fan added that nobody watches LIV.

"Nobody watches LIV. Stop being an LIV bot, NOW," jotted another fan.

However, it's not just the LIV Golf circuit that has been struggling to gain views; even the Masters experienced a 20 percent decrease in viewership, as reported by CBS. Last week's Masters tournament had the lowest viewership since Hideki Matsuyama's victory in 2021.

Professional golf as a whole has been grappling with declining viewership. The current World No. 2, Rory McIlroy, also addressed the decline in viewership in one of his interviews earlier this month. He said (via Golf Week):

“I know this isn’t a be-all, end-all, but if you look at the TV ratings of the PGA Tour this year, they’re down 20 percent across the board. That’s a fifth. That’s big. I would say the numbers on LIV aren’t great either in terms of the people tuning in. I just think with the fighting and everything that’s went on over the past couple years, people are just getting really fatigued of it and it’s turning people off men’s professional golf, and that’s not a good thing for anyone.”

When will Brooks Koepka play next?

Koepka's next appearance on the course will be at the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament, scheduled from April 26 to 28 at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide. His most recent outing was at the Masters, where he secured a tie for 45th place.

Brooks Koepka, last year's Masters runner-up, had struggled with his game this year. Scottie Scheffler emerged victorious at the tournament, claiming his second green jacket.

Additionally, Ludvig Aberg, debuting at Augusta National, secured second place. Tiger Woods also participated in the event last week, yet the tournament failed to attract viewers.

The PGA Tour players will next compete at the RBC Heritage event, scheduled from April 18 to 21, while LIV players will have a rest this week.
