Nick Taylor recently won the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii after a playoff against Nicolas Echavarria. Taylor scored a total of 16-under.

The Canadian golfer has been struggling with his form since his win at the WM Phoenix Open last year. He never made the top 10 in any tournament post that win and only made the top-25 cuts twice.

It came as no surprise, that the odds were stacked against him going into the 2025 Sony Open. It was predicted he had a 110/1 chance of winning the tournament. However, going against expectations, Nick Taylor secured a thundering victory at the Wai'alae Country Club on Sunday.

The 36-year-old shared how tough the past few months had been, not just for him but for his loved ones as well.

"It was a tough six, seven months. For my wife and my family to be with me and support me and lift me up, it makes it all sweeter. I feel like I can rise to the occasion. It's pretty fun," he wrote.

He also added via BBC that he was "a bit stunned" that things worked out "this way".
