As Brooks Koepka prepares to compete at "The Showdown", his wife Jena Sims recently shared an adorable moment of their son Crew. Sims shared a clip on her Instagram Story in which her son can be seen walking towards a private jet for "The Showdown." The golf event will be held on Tuesday, December 17 at Shadow Creek Golf Club in Las Vegas.
In the short clip posted by Sims on Sunday, December 15, Crew can be seen walking on the tarmac towards a private jet. The toddler, dressed in a green outfit and white helmet, pulled a small red suitcase with yellow handles.
Sims captioned the clip:
"Crew is ready for The Showdown"
A few glimpses of the short clip can be seen below:
The Showdown is an 18-hole event that will be played between players from LIV Golf and PGA Tour. Crew's father Brooks Koepka will represent LIV Golf with Bryson DeChambeau whereas Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler will represent PGA Tour.
Crew was born to Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims in July last year. The couple met for the first time in 2015 at the Masters tournament in Augusta and dated each other for several years before tying the knot in June 2022.
What is the format of "The Showdown"?
In the unofficial LIV Golf and PGA Tour clash, The Showdown, the event will be played over 18 holes in three stages. Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka will compete for LIV Golf while Rory McIlroy and World No.1 Scottie Scheffler for the PGA Tour.
In the first stage, from the first to the sixth hole, the teams will compete in a Fourball format, as all four players will hit their ball and only the best score from each pair is counted for the team. The next six holes from seventh to 12th will be played in Foursomes, with teammates hitting alternate shots on a hole.
The final six holes from the 13th to the 18th will be singles matches in which players will go against each other. However, the matchups are yet to be disclosed.
Talking about the event, LIV Golfer and 2024 US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau said (via Golf Magic):
"It's time to give the fans what they want to see, bringing the best players in the world together to compete outside of the major championships. We look forward to doing just that on December 17. I am excited to be a part of The Showdown and deliver a phenomenal and entertaining experience for fans. Once enemies, now teammates, Brooks and I are ready to go to work," he said.
As per talkSport, the winning pair of the tournament will take home a $10 million (£7.9m) prize.
