US Presidents Cup captain Jim Furyk has hinted that he might offer a second captaincy role to Keegan Bradley, who was recently appointed as the Ryder Cup captain. He said he would reach out to Bradley or may have already spoken with him.

Earlier this month, Keegan Bradley was appointed Ryder Cup captain for the US team. However, before the Ryder Cup, golf fans will witness the Presidents Cup this year, where the US team will compete against the International team. Furyk has been appointed as the US captain for the upcoming biennial event in Montreal. He has named Stewart Cink, Kevin Kisner, and Justin Leonard as three of his five captain's assistants.

Recently, during a chat with SiriusXM, Jim Furyk suggested that he might give Bradley a special role for the biennial event. He said he had always had it in mind to leave a spot open for the Ryder Cup captain.

"I definitely will reach out, or maybe I've already had conversations with Keegan," he said. "But I definitely want to offer, or maybe want to offer, that up to him because I think it would be a great experience."

However, Furyk added that Keegan Bradley would likely be thinking about getting on the playing side first before considering a non-playing role.

"The one caveat is, you know, Keegan's 18th in our points right now," he added. "He's playing very well; he's ranked pretty well in the world golf rankings. So I know he desperately wants to make this team as well, and that's probably first and foremost on his mind as a player. But I think having him as part of that captaincy would be a feather in our cap as well, and it would help him out a lot for next year."
