PGA fan-favorite John Daly dropped a big update on his Instagram stories, revealing that he underwent emergency surgery on his hand in Tampa, Florida. The PGA Tour veteran was hospitalized for the procedure, and he shared the update from his bed.
John Daly later also shared a post sharing the same update, and thanked his doctor Dr. McClimans for a successful surgery.
The PGA Icon was last seen playing in the PNC Championship with his son, John Daly II. The 58-year-old is a well-liked figure on the PGA Tour.
John Daly did not reveal anything about his hand injury but reassured his fans that he would be "back in no time" hitting golf balls again. Daly captioned his Instagram post as:

Watching golfers tee up with their kids is always a special sight, especially if they are called Tiger Woods and John Daly. The veteran golfers have been a regular sight at the PNC Championship with their sons.
Daly even won the title with his son in 2021. Ironically, Tiger Woods and his son Charlie ended up just short of a runner-up place that year.
The old friends met up once again last year at the Ritz-Carlton course in Orlando, and shared a bit of friendly banter. Woods took a sly jibe at Daly's unconventional lifestyle but Daly took it like an absolute legend.
Tiger Woods shouted:
"I'll meet you in the gym."
Daly responded by saying:
"At least gym is a three-letter word. Yours is G-Y-M. Mine is B-A-R."
Tiger Woods and son Charlie looked like strong contenders for winning the PNC Championship last year. However, a remarkable comeback by Bernhard Langer and his son saw the 15-time Major winner narrowly miss out on the tournament he has never won.
It was not all bad for the Woods family though; Charlie Woods recorded his first career hole-in-one at the tournament.
