John Daly has never played in the Presidents Cup, but he wouldn’t mind leading the U.S. team in the future. Recently, he endorsed a petition to make him the US team captain.

The Presidents Cup began on Thursday, September 26, at the Royal Montreal Golf Club. Team US took a 5-0 lead over the International team after the four-ball session on Day 1.

On Thursday, the Instagram account Full Send Golf shared a post to raise a petition for Daly to become the Presidents Cup captain. The golfer also shared the post on his Instagram story.

"Let's start a movement boys," he wrote.

As for the Presidents Cup, the second round of the event will be played in the foursome format. The hosts will look to recover after an early setback. However, there are still many points left to play, giving them a chance to turn the match around.
