Jordan Spieth is currently competing in the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Golf Course No. 2. Despite making the cut, he is not in contention to win this week as he is +7 going into the final round.

Nonetheless, Spieth is making every effort to relish the final round, with his family cheering him on from the sidelines. On this special Father's Day Sunday, the 30-year-old golfer had the company of his wife and two children at Pinehurst Golf Course No. 2.

Spieth made sure to spend some time with his wife and children today, during the final round of the competition. As his son sat in his stroller, Spieth approached him for a conversation. Annie Verret, his wife, was also there and captured a few pictures of the moment.

The 3-time Major winner has two kids, Sammy and Sophie. Sammy was born in November 2021, while Sophie was born in September 2023. He is one of the few fathers who is competing in the final round of the 2024 U.S. Open on Father's Day. Hence, having his kids and wife on the course makes it a special occasion for him.

A Recap of Jordan Spieth's performance at the 2024 U.S. Open

Jordan Spieth was one of the favorites to win the 2024 U.S. Open. Despite having a decent first two rounds on a challenging Pinehurst Golf Course No.2, he never looked in contention.

Spieth began his week with a 72 and remained in the middle section of the leaderboard after round one. He played some impeccable golf shots, especially on day two, and carded 71.

He carded +3 for the event through 36 holes and made it to the weekend with ease, as the cut line came in at +5.

Going into the weekend, he trailed the leader, Ludvig Aberg, by 8-strokes. Hence, he needed a strong performance on the moving day to remain in contention in the final round. However, unfortunately for him, the opposite happened as he struggled to complete the third round. Spieth scored 74 and remained +7 for the event, as he carded 6-bogeys, 4-birdies, and a double bogey.

This performance pushed Spieth down on the leaderboard, making it impossible for the former U.S. Open winner to be in contention on the final day. However, he will try to finish as high as possible to get a bigger share of the prize purse and FedExCup points.

Going into the final round, Bryson DeChambeau leads the tournament by three strokes. He is -7 for the event, while Matthieu Pavon, Rory McIlroy, and Patrick Cantlay will be chasing him from -4.
