It didn't take long for Nelly Korda to return to competitive play on the LPGA Tour after winning the Solheim Cup with Team USA. One week after winning at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Korda will play in the Kroger Queen City Championship at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio.

The transition from playing in a team event to an individual event can be difficult. This topic was brought up at Korda's pre-event press conference.

The world number one said she had a very "original" way of dealing with the transition. Nelly Korda was quoted as saying (via ASAP Sports):

"Just hate all the girls again. (Laughter)."
"No, it's crazy the friendships that you do make during Solheim Cup when you guys are all on one team. You really do create lifelong friendships during Solheim Cup," she added.

Korda further commented on the friendships that formed during the recent Solheim Cup:

"I know Alison [Lee], Megan [Khang] pretty well; also Lilia [Vu]. But all the other girls, like I didn't know Sarah [Schmelzel] at all. Obviously with Rose [Zhang] kind of being younger, grew closer to her. Grew closer to LC [Lauren Coughlin], all the girls in general."

Nelly Korda had an exceptional performance at the 2024 Solheim Cup, contributing three points in four matches. Her only defeat came in singles against European star Charley Hull, whom Korda had beaten in foursomes two days earlier.

What's next for Nelly Korda?

Nelly Korda has a busy schedule as the LPGA Tour season comes to a close. After playing in the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G, Korda will take a four-week break to play in the BMW Ladies Championship in Korea.

Korda will then play in the Maybank Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This event will conclude her participation in the second Asian wing of the season.

Korda will finish the season with three consecutive events in her home state of Florida. First, she will play in the ANNIKA by Gainbridge at Pelican in Belleair, then the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, which ends the official season.

Two weeks after that, Korda will play in the Grant Thornton Invitational, also in Naples. This is a mixed team tournament that debuted in 2023. Korda will be reunited with PGA Tour star Tony Finau.

Korda will also participate in the PNC Championship, the event in which professionals play in teams with a family member. Korda has participated in the event several times, always with good results.

So far this season, Korda has won six LPGA Tour events (five in a row), including the Chevron Championship, the first Major of the season. Her results also include a runner-up finish at the AIG Women's Open.
