Justin Rose led the Great Britain and Ireland team to a comprehensive victory over Continental Europe in the DP World Tour Team Cup 2025. The Brits defeated the Continentals by 17 points to eight.
Following the victory celebrations, Rose took to his X account to express his delight. He also congratulated his team for playing "with honor". Rose posted the following:
"Honoured to have been shoulder to shoulder with these guys over the last few days. As a captain I couldn’t have been luckier as they played with pride, skill and commitment producing some amzing golf! Great way to start the year!"
Justin Rose served in the role of player-captain, as did his Continental Europe counterpart, Francesco Molinari. As a player, Rose contributed two points to his team's victory with two wins and two losses.
This is the 13th high-level team event in which Rose has participated, and he has always done well. The Englishman has played in six editions of the Ryder Cup, winning four times.
He also played in two editions of the Seve Trophy, the predecessor to the current Team Cup, and finished on the winning side on both occasions. Finally, Rose played in four editions of the defunct World Cup, finishing second twice and third twice.
