Justin Thomas recently called upon the PGA Tour to provide 'more access and insight' to fans to keep them engaged during tournaments. Golf viewership has been on the decline over the past few years and Thomas has suggested ways to regenerate interest.

The personal letter was obtained by the Athletic. Thomas mentioned that he had discussions with PGA Tour broadcasters NBC and CBS about increasing golf viewership and coverage. He said in the letter that giving more content mid-event would make a lot of difference. (via The Mirror US)

"The more I think about it, the more I feel us giving more access and insight can make a WORLD of difference. Things such as pre-round interviews, mid-round interviews, wearing a mic, communication of any equipment/swing changes you're working on with broadcasters, etc."

Recently, the PGA Tour enabled golfers to give mid-round interviews. Ironically, it was something that Justin Thomas himself didn't agree with initially. However, he eventually came on board with the idea and gave mid-round interviews in two of his last three starts. The 31-year-old is now in favour of the practice.

"I've had no interest when someone asks for an interview mid-round or suggests trying something new,"

He further added:

"But I also know how much the fans love those moments-hearing our thought processes, conversations with our caddies, our reactions to the shots, and understanding the ups and downs of competing at the highest level. I've recently done mid-round interviews at both Hero and Sentry and found them totally fine and easy,"

Justin Thomas was last seen at the 2025 American Express in California.
