Justin Thomas to face Cameron Young in singles match on TGL 3rd day: Rosters and pairings explored

The third match of the 2025 TGL season will be played on Tuesday, January 21 at the usual venue of the SoFi Center in Florida. The day will feature New York Golf Club vs Atlanta Drive Golf Club.

One of the day's highlights will be Justin Thomas and Cameron Young's individual match. A two-time major champion, Thomas has the most golfing pedigree on the Atlanta roster, while Young is the top-ranked player in 2024 among his peers playing for New York.

In addition to Thomas, Billy Horschel and Patrick Cantlay will defend the Atlanta colors while Lucas Glover rests. Matt Fitzpatrick and Rickie Fowler will join Young on the New York roster, with the team's top player, Xander Schauffele, on the bench.

The league format consists of a first session played in a triple match, alternate shot, over nine holes. The second session is a singles match played over six holes. These are the pairings announced for the singles matches on the third day of the league:

• Justin Thomas vs. Cameron Young
• Billy Horschel vs. Matt Fitzpatrick
• Patrick Cantlay vs. Rickie Fowler

New York Golf Club already debuted in the first match of the TGL with a loss to The Bay Golf Club (9 points to 2). Tuesday's match will be Atlanta's first official appearance at the SoFi Center.

The six players in the field on the third day of the TGL 2025 have already started their competitive season. Most of them have already played more than one tournament this year.

Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Matt Fitzpatrick, Billy Horschel, and Cameron Young all started the year on the PGA Tour at The Sentry. Here's how they finished:

Horschel also played in the Sony Open in Hawaii, where he missed the cut. Horschel himself, Thomas, Cantlay, Young, and Fowler played The American Express with the following results:

Fitzpatrick and Fowler played in New York Golf Club's TGL debut. New York won just one point in the triples match against The Bay Golf Club, while only Fowler won a point in the singles match against Shane Lowry.

Tomorrow Golf League is the indoor league by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. It is played in a special simulator at the SoFi Center in Florida. The league consists of six teams competing in a single round followed by semifinals and finals.
