Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth, along with Billy Horschel, are officially committed to play at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open. The PGA Tour event will take place in February, and recently the tournament chairman, Matt Mooney, confirmed the three big names joining the stellar field of the event.
The PGA Tour has already started its 2025 season at The Sentry and has completed two tournaments of the season. This week, the players will tee off at The American Express, and at the start of February, they will tee off at the WM Phoenix Open.
Announcing the new addition to the WM Phoenix Open field, Mooney said (via WM Phoenix Open):
"We are less than 20 days away and already the field for the 2025 WM Phoenix Open is shaping up to be one of the strongest in tournament history. The latest round of commitments include some of the bigggest names on the PGA TOUR. We can’t wait to see them out at ‘The People’s Open’ in February.”
The PGA Tour event is a four-day event. It will start with its first round on February 6 and will have its finale on February 9 at TPC Scottsdale Stadium Golf Course in Arizona. Nick Taylor is the defending champion of the event.
Jordan Spieth commits to start the 2025 PGA Tour at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Although the PGA Tour has officially kickstarted its new season, Jordan Spieth is yet to begin his campaign. He officially committed to play at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am event.
The tournament will take place from January 30 to February 2 at Pebble Beach Golf Links and other courses. AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am confirmed Jordan Spieth's commitment to the PGA Tour event on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
"This one is major JordanSpieth has committed to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and we can’t wait to see him back in action."
Jordan Spieth has played in 22 PGA Tour events in the 2024 season and made the cut in 14 of them. He recorded three finishes in the top 10.
Meanwhile, Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel have already started the 2025 season on the PGA Tour. Horschel and Thomas both played at The Sentry in Hawaii.
At the season-opening event of the PGA Tour, Thomas had a decent outing. He played the four rounds of 71, 71, 68, and 63 and tied for 26th place, while Horschel had a tough start to the season. He struggled with his game at The Sentry. He played the four rounds of 72, 69, 69, and 72 to settle in the 51st position.
Horschel next played the Sony Open but missed the cut after two rounds of 71 and 67. Meanwhile, Thomas missed the Sony Open.
