Keegan Bradley has had a storybook run of late, and it all came together for a victory for the USA in the Presidents Cup. The golfer, who was largely off the radar for the team for much of the 2024 season, played his way into contention and was selected by captain Jim Furyk. He then buried the winning putt, prompting a celebration from his team.

Bradley was asked about what was waiting for him after his winning putt. He said via ASAP Sports:

"It's going to be a big party. I can't wait to get back to the team room and watch my teammates finish up here, but we're going to party for sure."

Things came together perfectly over the last few months, as Bradley was named Ryder Cup captain, played his way onto the Presidents Cup roster, and then won the tournament with his putt.

His winner over Si Woo Kim capped what he called a "fairytale":

"It's a movie almost. I just can't believe it. You just have to work as hard as I can, and good things happen."

Bradley helped the USA win their 10th straight Presidents Cup. After the first day, Team USA was headed for utter dominance. They won all five events before allowing the International team to do the same on day two.

The third day was a bit more even, but the Americans did grab a lead and were able to keep the International golfers at bay until Bradley sealed it for them in Sunday's final round.

Keegan Bradley shouts out Jim Furyk for captain's selection

Keegan Bradley was likely not going to be a player on the Presidents Cup roster until August. He was expected to serve as an assistant captain who might be picked to play, but he was a long shot. Then, he won the BMW Championship.

That win vaulted him to seventh in the Presidents Cup points, and while he didn't automatically qualify, he was more than high enough to warrant a captain's selection by Jim Furyk.

For that, he thanked the captain via ASAP Sports when it was all said and done:

"Well, I gave Jim a hug and I thanked him so much for picking me. I really thought these days were over. I really did. Even playing my best, I didn't know if I was going to ever be on one of these teams. So to come here and do this is a highlight of my life."

Bradley didn't think he'd play for the USA in an event like this again after it had been a decade, but he made it back and played the role of clinching it in the final round.
