USA Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley recently talked about how much 'say' the US team has in the course setup for the biennial event. The 2025 Ryder Cup is scheduled at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York from September 26 to 28.

The US team will be looking to avenge the defeat of the 2023 Ryder Cup held at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, Guidonia Montecelio, Lazio. Europe won the tournament by 16.5 - 11.5.

In the latest Ryder Cup presser, Keegan Bradley was asked how involved he was in the course setup at Bethpage and if he feels that there will be home course advantages. Claiming that things have changed, Bradley said (via ASAP Sports):

"Well, I know that the home team definitely has a lot less say in the setup than it used to. I remember my first couple, I think we had -- the home team had a pretty serious say in the course setup and where the tees were."
"We lose in the United States, I think it's three or four months before the tournament, we have no control. We have no control of the pin positions or where the tees are. We have a small little role in that," he added.

Bradley added that the US team is out there to play golf and course setup doesn't matter. He reiterated that despite being the host, they don't have any say in the course setup.

Team USA recently won the 2024 Presidents Cup under the leadership of Jim Furyk. Bradley was part of the US team and contributed to the team's victory.

In a recent presser, Keegan Bradley was asked about the learnings from the Presidents Cup that he'd carry to the next year's Ryder Cup. He said:

"Well, I think what Jim did great was we got off to that incredible start, and the second session, we got beat 0-5, which was pretty shocking. He just stuck with the plan. He didn't panic. Didn't change the pairings. He kept everything very level."

He said that after the loss of five matches on the second day of the Presidents Cup, Furyk could've changed his approach but chose not to, and the players responded well to their captain's decision to stick to their pre-determined strategy.
