Keegan Bradley will captain the Ryder Cup next year, but before that, he will be a part of another international team event. Bradley will play in the Presidents Cup this year, and he has said at the moment it's unclear if he will play or be an assistant captain.

Following the end of the PGA Tour Championship, the American golfer said following his win at the BMW Championship two weeks ago, he has "taken a step back" from decisions regarding the USA team that will play the 2024 President's Cup. He added while he's excited about the tournament, he doesn't know whether or not he'll need to bring his clubs as a player.

In a post-tournament interview, Bradley said: (via ASAP Sports):

"Yeah, since the win, I've sort of taken a little step back from that. I'm as involved or as little involved as Jim wants. But for now, I think Jim really wanted me to focus on going out and playing this week. He's a player, obviously, first, and he knows what it's like to come out here and have to play this tournament."

In the same interview, Bradley said he didn't have much planned between now and the Presidents Cup, which takes place at the end of September.

At the season-ending Tour Championship, won by Scottie Scheffler, Bradley finished tied for 21st after shooting 8-under across four rounds.

Following the conclusion of the 2024 PGA Tour Championship, Keegan Bradley was asked about his upcoming involvement in the Presidents Cup.

The 2025 Ryder Cup captain said he'd spoken with Jim Furyk, and acknowledged the "tough choice" facing the latter. The decision facing Furyk is whether to take Bradley on as a golfer or as an assistant captain.

Bradley said (via ASAP Sports),

"Yeah, I spoke to him. We had a great conversation. He's got a tough choice ahead of him.
"I don't know which way it's going to go, but like I said, I'm happy to play whatever role I need to play for the team. Whatever role I play is going to help me for Bethpage [venue for the 2025 Ryder Cup] and start the year I wanted to play on this team. I would love to play, but if Jim has other plans, I totally understand."

Bradley will be a first-time captain next year for the Ryder Cup two years after being snubbed as a player, and anything he can do in the Presidents Cup will help him prepare.

The 2024 President's Cup will be held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club from September 24 to 29.
