At the start of this season, Kevin Kisner made a memorable debut as an analyst. Now, due to popular demand, he is set to return as an analyst in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Kisner made his debut as an analyst on NBC Sports at The Sentry, the season's opener. He had an underwhelming season as a player, making just five cuts in fifteen starts with no top-25 finishes. He is currently 198th in the FedEx Cup standings, with no hope of making it to the playoffs.

The 40-year-old golfer will join the NBC Sports broadcast team alongside play-by-play commentator Dan Hicks. Brad Faxon and Terry Gannon will also be part of the team.

The playoffs will comprise three events, starting with the FedEx St. Jude Championship next week, followed by the BMW Championship and the season finale Tour Championship.

Kevin Kisner has worked as an analyst at three events so far. After his debut at the Plantation Course at Kapalua, he next took up the mic at the WM Phoenix Open and the Players Championship. During his first stint, he received a lot of love from fans online, who enjoyed his time on air.

Despite all the praise, Kisner clarified that he was not planning to retire or take up a full-time analyst job anytime soon.

"I haven’t played well in two years, and I don’t want to go out like that, to be honest with you,” Kisner said in Golf Digest's The Loop podcast. "I feel like I can still compete with the guys if I’m playing well, which I haven’t played what I consider well yet. So it’s kind of a test to myself to see, how hard can you work to figure it out?"

Besides serving as an analyst, Kisner's next assignment will be the Presidents Cup, where he has been announced as one of the captain’s assistants for Jim Furyk.

What's next for Kevin Kisner?

Kevin Kisner is in action this week at the Wyndham Championship, the final event of the PGA Tour's regular season. He is grouped with Harris English and Daniel Berger for the first two rounds.

Kevin Kisner and the rest of the field were set to begin their week at the Sedgefield Country Club on Thursday, August 8, but play was suspended due to inclement weather. Now, play will resume on Friday, August 9, with the round set to begin no earlier than 8:50 a.m. ET.

Kisner is not expected to make it to the FedEx Cup Playoffs regardless of the result this week at Sedgefield Country Club.
