European Tour player Pablo Larrazabal recently criticized American golf courses in a tweet. The Spanish golfer, who played on the LIV Golf tour before rejoining the European Tour, is now gearing up to compete in the upcoming Scottish Open, which features both PGA Tour and European Tour players.

In his recent tweet, Pablo Larrazabal described his experience of playing on American golf courses as "boring," writing:

"American courses are boring. They don’t make you think… links golf is pure…"

It is important to note that Larrazabal primarily plays on the European Tour, where he has won nine events so far. In the 2024 season, he started his journey at the Dubai Invitational, tying for 20th place, followed by a T4 finish at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Although he missed the cut at the Ras al Khaimah Championship, he quickly bounced back with a T29 finish at the Bahrain Championship. Despite missing four cuts this season, he has performed well in the other tournaments he has played.

Pablo Larrazabal says he "will never play PGA Tour full schedule"

Pablo Larrazabal opened up about his commitment to European Tour events. The Spanish golfer shared his excitement about competing at the Scottish Open, scheduled to take place next week.

The tournament features both PGA Tour and European Tour players, and Larrazabal commented that he was excited to play alongside PGA Tour players.

A golf enthusiast reshared his post, writing he wanted the golfer to play more on the PGA Tour. However, Larrazabal said he would never play a full schedule on the PGA Tour. He wrote:

"Thank you Felix but I will never play PGA full schedule…"

It is important to note that Pablo Larrazabal played on the Challenge Tour and then competed on LIV Golf before rejoining the European Tour. He has won ten professional tournaments in his career, including seven European Tour events, two events co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour, and one on the Alps Tour.

He has also played in the Majors with decent finishes. He competed in three of the four Majors over the years and made the cut in two of them. His best finish at the PGA Championship was T45 in 2011, while his best at The Open Championship was T30 in 2011. Last year, he won two tournaments: the 2023 Korea Championship and the 2023 KLM Open.

Although Pablo Larrazabal currently does not play on the PGA Tour, he has competed on the circuit over the years. He has played in 32 PGA Tour events in his career and made the cut in 15 of them, earning $140,250 on the circuit.

Last season, he played at the Genesis Scottish Open but missed the cut. He will next tee off at the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, which is scheduled to take place from July 11 to 14 at The Renaissance Club.
