LIV Golf reserve John Catlin joins PGA Championship 2025 field at Quail Hollow

LIV Golf Reserve and Asian Tour golfer John Catlin will compete in the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. Catlin, a reserve player for the breakaway league, filled in for injured or ill golfers on teams like Crushers GC, Smash GC, and Legion XIII during the 2024 season.

In 2025, the California-based golfer will get a chance to play the second major tournament, the PGA Championship, scheduled from May 15 to 18. Catlin shared a post regarding the same on his X handle, writing:

“I am so excited for what 2025 has in store. I can’t wait to be teeing it up at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in May.”

Catlin didn't play the PGA Championship last year but featured in the Open Championship, where he finished at T16 with a total score of 2 over. He shot 76 in the first round with one birdie and 70 in the second round with three birdies. He shot 69 and 71 in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.

Catlin also confirmed to play at the International Series India. The International Series’ X page shared a photo of Caitlin on January 10 along with the following caption:

“John Catlin confirmed for International Series India presented by DLF 🤝2024’s Asian Tour Order Of Merit champion and winner on The International Series is set to tee off at the DLF Golf & Country Club.”

Catlin's recent successes include victories at the 2024 International Series Macau and the 2024 Saudi Open on the Asian Tour. He impressively finished 23-under-par (257) in Macau and 24-under-par (260) in Saudi Arabia.
