LIV golfer Anthony Kim thanked his fans for their support this year after his amazing run on the Asian Tour. The American golfer made a wildcard entry on the Saudi Circuit at the start of the year but struggled in the golf tournaments.

However, following the conclusion of LIV Golf's third season, he competed in a couple of tournaments on the Asian Tour and made his first cut in a professional event after 12 years at the International Series Qatar. The 39-year-old had an amazing outing in the Asian Tour's event held in Qatar from November 27 to 30.

Following that, Anthony Kim also played in the PIF Saudi International, held from December 4 to 7 in Saudi Arabia, but he struggled with his game in this tournament and missed the cut.

The American recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share his experience of playing on the Asian Tour events and also thanked his fans for their support. He wrote:

"Gr8ful to have experienced #qatar 4 the 1st time & #Saudi again 4 the last 2 weeks. Thankful 4 my #sobriety & #family & 4 any1 struggling w addiction & #MentalHealth ask urself the ? Wat is the worst that can happen by trying 2 get help? Thankful 4 all the support this year."

Anthony Kim was phenomenal with his game when he started playing professionally in 2006. He had won three PGA Tour tournaments and reached sixth in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

During the initial days of his career in 2008, Kim became the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2000 to win two tournaments on the PGA Tour while under the age of 25. But the remarkable success streak was hampered by his injury, and he went on hiatus for more than a decade.

How did Anthony Kim play on the Asian Tour in the last few weeks?

Anthony Kim competed at the International Series Qatar, from November 27 to 30, where he had an astonishing performance as he made the cut after 12 years. He started great with a round of 71 at Doha Golf Club and then shot 72 in the second round.

He shot 73 and 71 in the next two rounds, and finally, after four rounds, he finished tied for 37th place. Speaking of his performance at the tournament, Kim said (via Gulf News):

“I’m working with more focus than I ever have. When I played professionally in my 20s, I didn’t know what I was doing, how to prepare, or how to practice—I know all of these things now after taking such a long time away from the game.”

Anthony Kim also joined the stellar field of the PIF Saudi International held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but he struggled with his game at this event. He shot two rounds of 72 and 70 to finish with a total of even par but missed the cut.

LIV golfer Joaquin Niemann won the tournament after defeating Cam Smith and Caleb Surratt in a playoff. Interestingly, even the International Series Qatar 2024 was also won by a LIV golfer. Peter Uihlein registered a five-shot victory over fellow LIV player Charl Schwartzel to win the event.
