LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka reaches new career-low world ranking amid PGA-LIV deal talks

LIV golfer Brooks Koepka is ranked outside the top 100 in the Official World Golf Ranking. The Saudi circuit players do not receive ranking points for playing in the LIV Golf series. However, they still earn some ranking points from playing on other golf tours.

Koepka played in the Majors and a DP World Tour event last season and gained some points but still struggled to maintain his ranking. His ranking gradually declined, and he is now ranked 106th. He was ranked 90th at the end of 2024, but in the last two weeks, he slipped and reached a career low.

Bryson DeChambeau is the only LIV golfer ranked within the top 10 in the OWGR. He won the 2024 US Open, helping him maintain his ranking, and is ninth in the world.

While Brooks Koepka and other LIV golfers struggle to secure their rankings, the talks about the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have been ongoing. In 2023, the PGA Tour announced a merger with the PIF, the financial backbone of LIV Golf, and discussions about the potential merger are still ongoing. However, no decision has been made yet.
