LIV Golf’s Sergio Garcia qualifies for 2023 US Open after winning final qualifying stage in Dallas

Sergio Garcia qualified for the 2023 US Open after winning the final qualifying round in Dallas on Monday, May 21. There are 120 golfers competing for eight berths at Northwood Club and Bent Tree Country Club.

The third major of the year is approaching thick and fast. It will take place in Los Angeles, California, from June 15 to June 18, 2023.

Sergio Gracia failed not to qualify for the PGA Championship last week, but he will participate in the year's third major. Twenty LIV golfers have also met the qualification standard for the US Open.

Garcia competed in a 36-hole qualifier and finished with a score of 9-under to gain entry into the event. Besides him, Carson Young Austin Eckroat, Brent Grant, Paul Haley, Roger Sloan, Trent Phillips, Jacob Solomon, and Hank Lebioda qualified for the US Open.

2023 U.S. Open field

A total of 156 golfers will compete in the US Open in 2023. The full field of the event has not yet been released, although the majority of the golfers have secured their berths. Eight golfers qualified on Monday in Dallas, while others qualified in separate categories.

Brooks Koepka, the 2023 PGA Championship winner, will compete in next month's US Open alongside 2023 Masters winner Jon Rahm and many other golfers. Tiger Woods' name, however, is not on the list. The 15-time major had ankle surgery last month and is currently on leave. He also missed the PGA Championship.
