The Hero Dubai Desert Classic 2025 is set to tee off on January 16 at the Emirates Golf Club, Majlis Course. The Rolex Series event will be a stacked field that will compete for $9 million. A month ahead of the competition, the DP World Tour has now announced the addition of LIV Golf’s Tyrrell Hatton to its field.
As per the European circuit’s official announcement, the English golfer joins the Dubai field alongside PGA Tour stars Adam Scott, Akshay Bhatia and Robert Macintyre. It is pertinent to note that Hatton’s addition to the event comes just days after his LIV teammate and captain Jon Rahm confirmed his debut in the competition. The two golfers will tee it up with some other Saudi-backed series’ players including Sergio Garcia.

Hatton, Adam Scott, Akshay Bhatia, and Robert Macintyre will also see some of the world’s biggest names competing against them in January. For the unversed, four-time Hero Dubai Desert Classic winner reigning champion Rory McIlroy will be returning to defend his title.
European Ryder Cup star and former European Number One Tommy Fleetwood will also be on the field. World No. 2 and reigning Open champion Collin Morikawa will join.
Tyrrell Hatton joins the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic field
Tyrrell Hatton comes into the latest edition of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the back of a strong 2024 season. For the unversed, the Englishman started off his year with a T14 outing at The Sentry and a T13 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, before moving to LIV Golf. The former PGA Tour star also teed up at the 2024 Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January, where he only managed a forgettable T31 finish.
Hatton made his LIV Golf debut in February with a T8 finish at Mayakoba. However, his best-ever finish on the circuit came at Nashville, where he won by beating compatriot Sam Horsfield. In the meantime, he also managed to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and finished runner-up at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on the DP World Tour.
A T9 finish at the Masters also stood out among his results.
